Tamasha Theatre Company (1989 - )
The Tamasha Theatre Company was formed in 1989, by friends Sudha Buchar and Kristine Landon-Smith. Tamasha draws on individual and community experiences in formulating their plays and invest in British South Asian writing talent. Central to Tamasha's productions is their aim of attracting culturally diverse and middle-scale audiences and presenting stories in their complexity and depth.

Mán Melá Theatre Company (1993 - )
The Mán Melá Theatre Company was set up in 1993 and brought the British Asian experience to contemporary British theatre. Its productions have been inspired by British Asian history and the poetry and prose of the Indian subcontinent. Kali Theatre Company (1990 - )
Kali Theatre Company was formed in 1990 to promote theatre writing by Asian Women. Formed by writer Rukhsana Ahmad and actress Rita Wolf, Kali focuses on developing thought provoking plays through workshops and rehearsed readings. Founded in 1990, Sampad is a development agency for South Asian Arts based in Birmingham. It promotes the appreciation and practice of the diverse art forms originating from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in the West Midlands and works with youth and community audiences and participates in educational and professional artistic development.
